Pilkington medics are offering a vocational registered Anesthetist to join a team in a modern facility with the surgical services of general, obstetrics and orthopedics.
You will be working in the critical care service and required to supervise staff of the anesthesia team and your clinical duties would cover pre-op, operative and post-op as well as covering acute services to CCU and emergency department.
This 388- bed Hospital provides healthcare services for a catchment area of 289 000 and is the tertiary hospital for the lower south island. The facility includes eight main theatres and two- day surgery, radiology services (MRT, CT and nuclear medicine) critical care, neo natal unit and coronary care unit.
The hospital is based in the heart of Dunedin city along with the oldest medical school in the country Otago Medical School and the Otago University giving Dunedin city a excellent reputation for research and collegial support. Outside work, this coastal city offers an amazing coastline to discover while hiking, surfing or kayaking. Three hours from Dunedin is some of the world's best hiking tracks or half a dozen ski fields on offer.
